My Story
The hands, the clay, and the quiet hours behind every piece.

Born and raised in Oslo, I grew up surrounded by craftsmanship and people who made things with their hands. Both my father and grandfather worked with wood, and from an early age I learned to appreciate the value of quality materials, good craftsmanship and objects made to last. Those values continue to shape the way I approach my own work at Teàdal Studio today.
Long before pottery, I built my first website as a teenager and started my first handmade business at eighteen, selling jewellery to boutiques in Oslo.
Life eventually took me into banking and finance, where I've spent the last fifteen years building a career that I still love today.
But the creative part of me never disappeared.
When I discovered clay, something clicked immediately. Four days after touching clay for the first time, I had already designed a logo and started building the website for what would become Teàdal Studio.
The business side moved quickly — the logo, website and ideas for the studio came almost immediately.
So did my commitment to mastering the craft.
As a perfectionist, I threw myself into understanding the materials, refining my techniques and developing pieces that reflected both my standards and my style. Good quality matters deeply to me, and I believe handmade objects should be made to last.
To me, the Norwegian way of creating a home has always been about warmth, quality and choosing fewer, better things that are made to last. Inspired by Norwegian nature and natural materials, I create handmade ceramics designed to bring character and a sense of home into everyday life.
I also love gathering people around a table — sharing a glass of wine with friends, setting the table, lighting candles and creating an atmosphere that makes people want to stay a little longer. Many of my pieces are designed with that in mind: objects that can be mixed and matched effortlessly, helping you create a beautiful table and a welcoming home without needing cupboards full of things you rarely use.
I care deeply about the materials we bring into our homes and use every day. From natural beeswax candles to food-safe glazes on every functional piece, I try to make thoughtful choices that reflect the values behind Teàdal Studio.
Today, every piece is thrown, glazed and finished by hand by me in small batches in Oslo. In a world of fast trends and disposable interiors, I want to create pieces that feel special, personal and lasting — pieces that become part of a home rather than simply decorating it.
My collection features coffee mugs, tumblers, bees wax candles, salad bowls, vases, candle holders and serving plates, all designed for those who appreciate quiet artistry and a warm, cozy atmosphere in their spaces. Alongside classic pieces, you'll find limited seasonal collections and the option to request a customized order.
Thank you for being here and for supporting handmade ceramics. I'm so grateful to share this journey with you and to welcome you into the world of Teàdal Studio. I hope my pieces become a small part of your home and the moments shared within it.
